The Acer Aspire One was a netbook that appeared hot on the heels of the Asus Eee PC, somewhere in July 2008, and as such has matured steadily and represents a good budget option, though with nothing much to distinguish it from the netbooks of many other manufacturers. It offers the usual range of options including a choice between Windows XP and Linux, and all the usual variety of configurations. The same caveats apply as with any other used or refurbished netbook (see our guide) so it’s a case of browsing our listings and finding the used Aspire that’s right for you in terms of features and of course price. There are plenty to choose from, so you should be able to pick up a used or refurbished Acer Aspire One for a reasonable price.
