Part of the 700 series, the 2G Surf was the lowest-budget model of them all, with a screen a mere 7″ in size (resolution 800 x 480), and for that reason alone you would have to think very carefully before buying one! That’s just a bit too small for today’s standards, but then again, maybe you want to mount it on your bike or something!

You will typically also find 2Gb of solid-state disk and 512Mb of RAM, as well as an SD card slot and Wi-Fi connectivity, of course, though no Bluetooth. You should be able to pick up the 2G Surf for a song, but think about looking at a slightly better spec model unless you really know why you need such a cheap and cheerful netbook.
